Introductory Camp - A Beginner's Guide to Fencing
July 10th - 14th, 2023 or August 14th - 18th, 2023
9 am to 11:30 am
Learn to Fence! This Beginner camp is open to students of all ages. Students will learn a brief history of the sport, basic rules, safety practices, introductory footwork, and see all 3 weapons the sport of fencing has to offer. Students will have the opportunity to deck themselves out in gear and work with each other and the coaches to experience the excitement firsthand! At the end of this introductory camp, students will be ready to join our group classes, private lessons, and/or our more advanced camps. 3-Weapon Camp - Fun for Everyone!
August 7th - 11th, 2023
9 am to 3:00 pm
Abraham Lincoln said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”
This camp is meant to help you sharpen your "axe", whether that's a foil, epee, or sabre! It takes the skills and knowledge you've obtained in your classes and lessons and helps to hone your technique. The camp involves conditioning, footwork, and both 3-weapon and weapon-specific instruction. It provides competitive bouting instruction, strategy, and scenarios to help you achieve success on the strip, regardless of your level of competition. Summer Kick-Off and Pre-Nationals Camp
June 25th - 28th, 2023
9 am to 3:00 pm
Do you plan on attending Summer Nationals? How about competing over the summer or next season? Just want to start your summer training with a bang? Either way, this camp is for you!
This camp focuses on footwork, conditioning, weapon skills, and tactical strategy for competition. If your future goals are to qualify for events, earn regional or national points, or take home some "hardware" (preferably the gold kind!) then this camp is an important stepping stone on your path to success. It provides competitive bouting instruction, strategy, and scenarios to help you achieve success on the strip, regardless of your level of competition. All skill levels squire/intermediate through competitive. You must be a USFA member to attend. It is suggested that students have a full set of electric fencing equipment.
